Riley Scattergood claudia Project

Longview, WA

A trusted contractor has been brought on to bring renewed comfort, safety, and polish to several key areas of this home. The work spans a bedroom, two bathrooms, and a back door entry — each space receiving thoughtful repairs and quality finish work tailored to the homeowner's needs. This project is just getting underway, and the team is ready to deliver craftsmanship that lasts.

Scope of Work

This project covers repairs and finish work in a bedroom, two bathrooms, and the back

door entry. In the 16' x 12' bedroom, a 2' x 6' opening in the closet wall is patched

with tongue and groove cedar, the 16' wall and remaining patch areas are plastered and

skimmed to a smooth finish, base trim is installed, and the room is painted. In the

main bathroom, the open ends of the existing tub are closed with PVC panels scribed to

the tub, two 4x4 wall tiles are patched, wainscoting and baseboard are installed, the

room is painted, LVP flooring is installed, and the existing toilet is replaced. In the

second bathroom, the existing tile surround and the sheetrock behind it are removed to

the studs, a new tub and surround unit is installed and plumbed by a licensed plumbing

contractor, the surrounding sheetrock is patched and finished, the room is painted, and

grab bars are installed. At the back door, the existing steps and concrete step are

removed and hauled away, and new wood steps with a code-height handrail and grab bar

are built on the existing concrete slab.

These early photos capture the starting conditions in each area before work begins. They serve as an important reference point for the transformation ahead.
