Catherine Carrison & Don Stringer Project
Kalama, WA
James Hurula Construction is getting underway on a concrete step repair project, bringing skilled craftsmanship and careful attention to detail to restore both the function and appearance of an important entry feature. The team is committed to handling every step of the process with precision, from initial site preparation through final finishing. This is the beginning of a project built on a foundation of quality work and genuine care for the customer's home.
Scope of Work
At James Hurula Construction, our commitment is to execute this project with precision and care. We will begin with comprehensive preparation and site work to ensure that the location around the concrete step is adequately cleared and protected. This will involve marking the specific area where the concrete will be removed, taking special care to protect surrounding features from dust and debris during the demolition process. Our team will ensure that proper safety measures are in place, and all necessary equipment is on site for an efficient workflow. Site cleanliness is a priority to maintain a safe working environment throughout every phase of the project.
Once the site is prepared, we will proceed with the core construction phases. Our specialists will utilize a chipping gun to carefully cut away the specified portion of the concrete step. We recognize the potential for chipping and cracking during this process, so our skilled laborers will exercise caution to minimize any damage to the surrounding areas. Once the concrete has been removed, we will assess the cut area to determine how much mortar will be required to finish the job and make the surface aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Following the removal phase, we will focus on the finishing details. In this phase, the team will mix and apply mortar to the exposed areas, ensuring it is smoothed out and blends seamlessly with the existing concrete. Careful attention will be given to the texture and appearance to ensure that it aligns with the home's decor and curb appeal. If needed, we will do minor touch-ups to ensure that the finished product meets our high standards.
Finally, upon completing the installation and finishing processes, our team will conduct a thorough cleanup. We will remove all debris, tools, and any protective coverings used during the job. Our goal is to leave the site in pristine condition, ensuring that the area is not only safe but also visually appealing. The project will conclude with a final walkthrough with you, allowing us to take note of any final adjustments that may be needed. At James Hurula Construction, we aim for complete customer satisfaction and the highest standards of craftsmanship, ensuring that your vision is brought to life with precision.
