Concrete Contractor in Longview, WA

Concrete contractors in Longview get asked for the same things: driveways, patios, walkways, slabs, and footings. I pour and finish all of it across Longview and Cowlitz County, and I am on site for every pour.

Concrete is unforgiving. Once it is down, a bad subgrade or a missed control joint is permanent. We spend the time on prep because that is where flatwork succeeds or cracks: proper base, correct rebar placement, and joints cut where the slab wants to move anyway.

Longview driveways see heavy loads and standing water. We grade for drainage so water leaves the slab instead of sitting on it, and we size the pour depth to whatever is actually going to park on it.

Whether it is a new driveway, a back patio, or a slab for a shop, you get a written estimate up front and a finished pour that was formed and placed by the same crew that showed up to bid it.

Concrete Work questions in Longview

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Longview, WA?

Concrete flatwork runs roughly $10 to $29 per square foot depending on thickness, finish and what has to come out first. A plain broom-finish driveway on good ground is the low end. Removal of an old driveway, a thicker pour for heavy vehicles, or an exposed aggregate or stamped finish moves it up. Send me the dimensions and a photo and I will give you a written number.

Do you pour patios, walkways and driveway approaches?

Yes. Patios, walkways, driveway aprons and approaches, steps, and slabs for sheds, shops and garages. The approach where your driveway meets the street usually needs a right-of-way permit from the city, and I handle that.

Can you replace a cracked or heaved driveway?

Yes, and that is most of the concrete work in Longview. Old concrete comes out, the base gets excavated and compacted, and the new slab goes down on ground that will hold it. Pouring over the old base is how you get the same cracks back in a few years.

What finishes do you do: broom, exposed aggregate or stamped?

All three. Broom finish is the standard for driveways and walks because it is slip resistant and holds up. Exposed aggregate is the common upgrade for patios and entries. Stamped and stained concrete is available for patios and interior slabs.

How long before I can drive on new concrete?

Walk on it the next day, park a car on it after about seven days, and keep trucks and trailers off for a full four weeks. Concrete keeps gaining strength for a month, and the first week decides most of it.

Do you work in Kelso, Castle Rock and Kalama too?

Yes. Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock, Kalama, Woodland and Cathlamet in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum County, plus Vancouver, Battle Ground and Ridgefield in Clark County. I am based in Kalama.
