Ron Rowe Project
Residential in Longview, WA
When a homeowner trusts you enough to hire you a second time, you show up ready to earn it all over again. This backyard project brought together concrete work and finish carpentry under one roof, with a customer coordinating every decision from California. Samples went in the mail, photos went out by text, and the work moved forward with care.
Scope of Work
James Hurula Construction will coordinate this change order for the Ron Rowe job to add one new 110-volt receptacle location with GFCI protection at the hot tub pad. Prior to the electrical work, the work area will be reviewed for access, routing, mounting location, and proximity to the hot tub pad so the receptacle is placed in a practical and code-conscious location for the intended use. Existing conditions will be verified to the extent accessible, including available power source, exterior mounting surface, and pathway for wiring or conduit.
The electrical portion of the work will be performed by a licensed electrician as subcontracted electrical work. The electrician will install the required exterior-rated wiring method from the approved power source to the hot tub pad receptacle location, including routing, securing, and protecting the wiring as required for an exterior wet-location installation. The new 110-volt outlet will be provided with GFCI protection, either through a GFCI receptacle or other approved GFCI-protected circuit configuration as determined by the electrician based on site conditions and code requirements.
At the hot tub pad, the electrician will install an exterior-rated outlet box, weather-resistant receptacle, and an in-use weatherproof cover suitable for outdoor use. Penetrations, boxes, and exposed routing will be sealed and secured as appropriate to help protect the installation from moisture and normal exterior exposure. The installation will be completed in a neat, workmanlike manner with attention to safe placement, secure fastening, and functional access for the homeowner.
Upon completion, the electrician will test the new outlet for proper power, polarity, and GFCI trip/reset function. James Hurula Construction will coordinate final review of the completed work and confirm that the change order scope has been completed as described. The immediate work area will be cleaned of electrical packaging, scraps, and debris generated by this change order, and the new outlet location will be left ready for normal use.
Paint patio cover
The older patio cover had never seen a coat of paint and was starting to show it, so the crew worked systematically through the rafters, fascia, beams, and roof decking before touching the posts. Every surface came away clean and protected, finished in a light gray that tied the structure together and gave it years of added life.
Concrete patio and sidewalk
With the old failing pads removed and new footings dug eighteen inches deep, the concrete work started on solid ground. The crew poured and finished a smooth, level patio and sidewalk with clean edges and careful sectioning, leaving a surface built to last.
