Tim Reavis Project
Decking in Castle Rock, WA
When this homeowner's existing deck was torn down for replacement, a closer look at the framing revealed the joists had seen better days and needed to come out as well. The team took it as an opportunity to build something solid from the ground up, doing the job right rather than just covering up what was underneath.
Cedar Deck
The crew rebuilt the entire structure with fresh framing and topped it with premium tight knot cedar sourced from Baker Lumber in Kelso, Washington — a supplier known for quality material that holds up and looks great. At the customer's request, the handrails were notched directly into the posts the same way the original deck was built, a detail that added real strength to the railing system; the perimeter was picture framed for a clean, finished look, and vinyl lattice was installed along the bottom to close everything in neatly. The completed cedar deck and railing came together as a solid, good-looking result from the ground up.
